Markie graduated from Georgia State University with a Bachelor's of Science in Psychology and is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis through Ball State University. While at Georgia State University, Markie worked as a research assistant in a complex cognition lab where she became interested in studying learning processes in children with autism. She is passionate about finding creative interventions that are research-based but tailored to fit individual needs. She has been an RBT providing behavioral therapy to children with autism for the past 2 years.


  • Fun Fact

    During her time as a research assistant, Markie ran a project designed to study self-agency in Rhesus Macaques. Though she was not able to directly interact for safety reasons, she felt like she got to know each monkey through watching them "play" her program and analyzing their data.

    Markie loves working in her yard and painting with acrylic or water color.
