Madeleine Shelton

Board Certified Behavior Analyst


Madeleine holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Statistics from the University of Georgia. She began working at the Marcus Autism Center’s Multidisciplinary Feeding Program in 2019, where she discovered her passion for ABA and supporting children with complex disabilities. She later earned a Masters of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis from Georgia State University in 2023.

While at Georgia State, Madeleine participated in the Project Behavioral and Early Education Scholars (BEES) federal grant program, where she gained specialized training in addressing the academic, behavioral, and communication needs of young children requiring significant support, as well as collaborating with school systems and special education teams.

Madeleine became a BCBA in 2024. She specializes in early intervention for children ages 1–6 and has additional experience working with children and adolescents up to age 18. She is particularly passionate about Functional Communication Training. Whether through PECS, an AAC device, gestures, or vocal communication, one of Madeleine’s favorite parts of the job is seeing communication “click” for her learners and their families. She is committed to trauma-informed and assent-based practices and dedicated to making a lasting impact in the lives of each of her clients and their families..

    Madeleine and her husband have a bucket list to see a baseball game at every MLB stadium. So far they have been to 7!

  • Hobbies

    In her spare time, Madeleine enjoys volunteer coaching, taking her dog on long walks, playing pickleball, reading a good novel, and traveling.
